Megan Lanasa
Founder
Born and raised just outside the city of Baltimore in Catonsville, Maryland, Megan is part of a family of entrepreneurs. Megan spent much of her childhood helping out around The Breadery, a bread bakery founded by her father in 1996. The Breadery has developed a devoted following in the Baltimore area over the past 20 years and Megan has served in nearly every capacity at the bakery.
Staying true to her Baltimore roots, Megan attended Stevenson University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications in 2009. After earning her degree, while continuing to run the retail operations at the family’s bakery, Megan also managed a successful seafood restaurant in Catonsville which served to reinforce the passion she had developed for the food service industry. With this experience under her belt, she decided to follow her entrepreneurial spirit and open BricknFire Pizza Company, a mobile wood fired pizza truck, in 2014.
Prior to serving their first slice of pizza at BricknFire Pizza Company, Megan traveled to Colorado and California in 2013 to attend wood fired oven cooking classes and brought these skills back to Maryland where she used them to perfect her pizza recipe. She spent several months working with her father in the bakery to develop the dough recipe to provide a truly authentic Neapolitan crust. She developed strong working relationships with farmers throughout the Baltimore area to source toppings locally whenever possible. Authentic SanMarzano tomatoes are sourced from Italy to capture that true Italian taste in the sauce. Megan sought out a local cheese company to develop the unique cheese blends to prove robust flavors without the grease.
BricknFire Pizza Company launched its mobile business in May 2014. Their theory is simple – produce the best tasting pizza using the highest quality ingredients.
In June of 2015 BricknFire Pizza Company was selected by Marriott as the winner of the inaugural CANVAS Food and Drink Concept Lab competition at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards. CANVAS IS Marriott’s concept lab for incubating entrepreneurial food and drink ideas.

Shannon lives with her family in Southern Maryland and enjoys travel, always with the goal of finding the best places to eat. It is her passion for amazing food and service that drives her commitment to helping you plan the very best brick oven pizza experience for your event. She joins the BricknFire team with over 20 years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry and looks forward to coordinating your private catering needs.
Sal Salley
Executive Chef
Sal was born and raised in the lovely city of Baltimore. Both his mom and the city’s food culture inspired his journey to become a cook. Sal has a passion for pizza and brings 10 years of experience with Neapolitan style pizza to the BricknFire team.
Josh Neve
Sous Chef
Born in Germany, Josh was raised in Baltimore. He brings more than 7 years of Neapolitan pizza experience to our BnF team, along with a background in gourmet cooking. Josh is so excited to be bringing creativity and innovation to a BricknFire menu near you!
Jermaine "JJ" Jackson
Co-Lead Site Manager
JJ has been in the food industry for 8 years, with his passion for pizza-making has only grown stronger. He continues to hone his skills and loves bringing a smile to guests faces with the art of food. His passion for cooking has grown through BricknFire, and he looks forward to spreading that passion to people each – be on the look out for JJ at our next event!
